The past week has been a bit rough on all of us, and we were pretty worried how Trin would take having the new baby in the house. Truthfully, the first few days were a little rocky, as she seemed interested in the baby while we were at the hospital - but not so much when we brought him home. Every now and then, she will give him a kiss, or play a "laughing game" with him (which is more like her running up to him, laughing in his face, then running away), but for the most part, she still likes to do her own thing. She doesn't seem jealous of Aiden, but she has been wanting more attention, understandably. She wants to play with (or in) his baby toys, she wants the crib again (which we are able to do since he sleeps in the bassinette in our room), and she has been selectively aware of what we tell her to do/not to do. Today was a pretty good day for her, as she seemed much more confident that we are making time for her and still love her despite the new baby, and she even seemed to watch over Aiden while he was in his swing. The music was playing, and he drifted off to sleep, so we turned off the sound so he could rest. Next thing we know, Trin is running up to Joe saying "help help". He asked her what she wanted help with, and she said "turn on". "Turn on what?" "Music" was her reply b/c she wanted Aiden to have his music. Sweet girl!
