Fun at the Zoo

It was such a beautiful day for a trip to the zoo! Trinity had a blast getting up close to the giraffe, and though she didn't think too much of the penguins, the elephants definitely got her attention. She was copying their noises as we saw them, and she was all smiles. We ended the day with a ride on the carousel, which, unfortunately, she was not as crazy about as she was when she was younger. But all in all, we had a great time!

Pics!

We've been spending a lot of time outside at the parks with the warm spell we've been having. Time to soak up some vitamin D!

Working on our alphabet!

She may not be able to pronounce all the letters correctly, but at least she (and we) know what she's saying! LOL Considering we only say it to her once or twice a day, she's doing very well! She's almost got it down on her own!

Sweet girl!

Trinity is just amazing us more and more every day! We are so proud of our sweet angel!
Trinity is 20 months old now, and such an outgoing girl! Her vocabulary seems to grow exponentially every day, and that includes her reading skills. Trinity is now reading the words aloud (or showing me what they mean): hat, tongue, elephant, hi, mouth, wave, clap, dog, cup, and cat. She also goes around the house, pointing out shapes to me, as well as colors.
Today we decided to take a trip to the craft store and pick out a shirt to decorate with fabric paints. Trin had such a blast, as she always does when we pursue artistic endeavors. :) This weekend, weather permitting, we plan on taking her to the zoo, so we may just have a slew of new pictures to post. :)

A trip to the park!

For a change of pace, we took Trin to the park to feed the ducks! Some of them were a little pushy, so she was a little nervous at first, but we kept the assertive guys at bay when they started getting too close (or hissing LOL). I think she was more curious about the amount of ducks that were hanging around than enjoying feeding them!

Painting party!

With the weather being a bit chilly recently, we decided to have a painting party with some of Trin's little friends! She loooves to paint (and mommy loooves to see her precious artwork!), so she was all up for this!

Pics!

As you can see, we got a good 5 inches of snow last week! Mommy was sooo excited to have Trin out playing in it.. and.. well, as you can see, the closest Trin would go to the snow was the snowball Daddy brought inside (with the fire roaring) for her. LOL She wouldn't have anything to do with this cold, white stuff! *Sigh* Maybe next year!

Yay!!

Well, little miss Trinity is 8 days into her reading lessons, and Mommy is SO proud to announce that she is now reading cats, wave, clap, hi, and I think elephant (understandably mispronounced - sounds like eeeleeeeph)! For any semi-interested, this is an amazing program, and we are definitely having success with it!

Normally, our reward system (if you'd call it that since this little girl is DEFINITELY indulged regardless) consists of loving, hugs, kisses, and definitely balanced out (majority) play time! But..she's been such a good girl, we just had to bump that up a notch by taking her to share an ice cream sundae with Mommy and Daddy! (She actually didn't eat much of it until it was nearly gone - then she figured out how yummy it was!)
Yay Trinity!
