Hey there!

Well it's time to update a few pics and a bit of news about little Trinity. She's doing just great and I think she's coming up on 9 lbs now. She's started the cutest habit of smiling or even chuckling just as she's falling asleep, and sometimes as she's waking up. I've also noticed her making little noises when she's impressed with something she sees, particularly a mountain of dolls I had collected as a kid that I have mounted in a "doll net". She stares and stares at those dolls when she's in the bedroom and makes a cooing noise at them! It's soooo cute! She's also started copying facial movements at times, such as if you open your mouth or stick your tongue out at her, she will copy you. I usually try to get her to smile big for me, but she's only got the eye squint part down and only half the smile ha ha. She is definitely noticing people more and paying attention to her surroundings. Here's some more pictures for everyone to enjoy!

That's our girl!

Well, Trinity's 3 weeks and 1 day old now, and it's hard to believe both that it's been 3 weeks since she was born, and yet, that it's only been 3 weeks. I hope that makes sense. :)
It seems Trinity has figured out how to roll over completely! Joe had her working on "tummy time" this morning, and she rolled herself completely over onto her back! It surprises me, and it doesn't - mainly b/c she's seemed to excel physically since we've brought her home. I really need to thank Stacy for that - all that protein watching really paid off. She's sleeping longer I've noticed, up to about 4 hours at a time pretty often now - and conversely she's staying up a lot longer too, roughly the same amount of time, whereas before it was around 2/2. She seems content just looking around the room, being talked too, and she's particularly intrigued by the windows. She loves staring out them. But..when we try to take her outside, she's not too keen on that. I like to read to her like I did when I was preg, and it does seem to sooth her and hold her attention for a bit.
Motherhood is an amazing thing, to watch this little person experience life day to day. We are so blessed to have this little bundle from Heaven. :)

Mom here!

It's about time I got a second to get onto the blog! Can you tell I've been very very busy? I'm so happy everyone's been able to get online and see pictures of our little angel, get updates on her progress, and, even backtracking a bit, keep up with her birth story. Joe's been great about updating the blog that way. To sum up the last couple weeks, I've simply been enjoying the joy and wonder of our little one. Yes, it's extremely tiring, as she eats every couple hours, and it's a diaper nightmare at times, but one look at her little angel face and I know everything, and I mean everything, is more than worth it for her sake.
Trinity's doing so well with her weight gain, I believe she's up to 7 lbs, 13 ounces now. She's been having some feeding issues, in that she has a "death grip" when I try to nurse her, and that's been causing quite a few problems. That's where all the protein I ate while pregnant went! Gotta love that muscle on her! I've started pumping and bottling up her meals as a temporary fix, though we may be seeing a lactation consultant next week to get her "back to the breast". It seems I live on that pump, which is very frustrating.
Aside from that, she's getting much more active, more attentive, and more playful. She is such a joy, and seeing her smile is priceless. We try to capture that on camera, but it usually happens when she's just waking up, which makes it hard. She loves music, just as I thought she would, and she loves when I rock her in my glider chair.
We've had so many people wanting to come over and see her, and I apologize if we weren't quite ready for that yet - we've been asking everyone to hold off for the first few weeks (at least) since before she was born. The house has been in a disorderly state, and we never have anything prepared for company to eat (much less ourselves), which really bothers me since I love being Miss Hostess. It's also hard b/c we rarely get more than a few hours sleep a night, so every chance we get we've been resting up. And I thiiiink my hormones are starting to level out ha ha! I've been very weepy the last few weeks, and I definitely did not want people over while I'm like that! The tiniest things could send me to tears, yea, not fun. So I'm thinking in the next week or so we may be good for company. :) Yay!
I have a few more pics of Trinity I took today I'd love to share. Everyone loves pictures!
Hopefully I'll have more time to get on here in the future, but for now, I'm out!

Spoiled baby

Trinity is doing great. Still getting over a gunky eye but otherwise just fine.

She loves being held. She likes attention. She's getting spoiled real quick. (Daddy's got to put a stop to that!)

She likes her swing, but always manages to wiggle her way sideways so it's more like a cradle. She'll sleep that way just about as long as we will let her.

She's got quite a personality already. Everyone keeps saying she looks just like me, and that may be the case, but she's got her momma's personality, that's for sure! When she wants something, she wants it now!!!

I always thought it was the little baby boys that would pee on you during diaper changes, but she has that trick down perfectly. And it seems I'm the only target she's interested in. I don't think she's peed on momma once, but she's got me at least three times now!

As I type this, two MORE packages arrived for Miss Trinity. Did I mention she is getting spoiled??? :)

Super Strong Baby!

She maintained this pose for about a full minute.

She has also been holding her head up by herself for a minute at a time, and has mastered the half-roll. She hasn't made a full roll yet, but she's not far from it!
