Yay! Today I had a surprise shower at work (how they snuck it all past me I have no clue as I can usually sniff out "surprises" a mile away), and it was so much fun! Hope Trinity doesn't get partied out, she's got her actual Baby Shower this Sunday!
Joe and I went to the doc today, and learned Trinity is now facing head down! What's funnier is all this time I thought that big bulge on my right side was her head.. and it's really her little fanny! LOL I'm not 100% sure, but I think she's in the Right Occiput Anterior position, to be specific. If that's the case, it certainly explains why my sciatic nerve has been bothering me, she's got her head in there! Everything else is just fine.
I've noticed twice now her little heart beating, I've felt it through my belly (very briefly), and both Joe and I have enjoyed witnessing her little hiccups. They're so cute! At first I didn't know why her "kicking" was timed perfectly lol, but we're still learning too.
This one's a short one, off to bed we go!

Can't wait!!
Well, I think Trinity is starting to run out of room in here..
She still kicks quite a bit, but she does a LOT more puuuushing on my belly. Particularly on the right side, it's pretty common now to see my tummy uneven, as in the right side bulging quite a bit more than the left. Ha Ha, wish everyone could see this!
I'm getting pretty tired, as it's hard to sleep as of the last few weeks. And don't get me started on the lovely acid feeling! (All you mothers must know EXACTLY what I'm talking about). I'm still walking right around a mile in the morning, and in the afternoon after work, unless the weather is bad, as well as doing various other stretches to keep as limber as I can while my body struggles to hold it's center of gravity where it thinks it ought to be. I'm finding myself getting pretty exhausted at work, and I wouldn't turn down a nap if it were offered! (Too bad it never is). Sigh...
Through all this, I've got right about 2 months left, if Trinity sticks around until the due date, and I CAN'T WAIT to meet her! It's just too long to wait, in my opinion. I want to see who she looks like, who she acts like, what kind of person she's going to be. Besides, how much can my tummy really grow?? It's already bulging tight, and I can see it won't be long before my belly button gives up being an 'inny' LOL.
I had my glucose test done last week, and the results were normal. Yay! My iron is a bit low, but I've been taking care to eat more red meat since I got that result. No worries, it's JUST below the norm, nothing drastic. I've also had to log how long it takes her to move 10 times each day, to record how active she's being... yea... she ranges from the longest time being 18 minutes, to the shortest time 3 minutes!! Her average is around 5-6 minutes.
Well that's it for the updates, I'm afraid I don't have any pic to accompany this blog. We'll take some more soon.
Until next time!

About Trinity...

So I thought it'd be fun to give everyone a bit o' Trinity so far.. she's definitely got character, that's for sure. The term awnry comes to mind, let's chock that lovely personality trait to her daddy. LOL Like when she's kicking the crud out of my belly, but once anyone's trying to see it happen, she gets quiet. Or how she can be super active early in the morning (too early!), and late at night (when I'm trying to get to sleep), but usually stays quiet during daytime when it wouldn't bother me. :)
She loves music! I've been playing all kinds of soothing and instrumental music for her, but by far, her favorite is Celtic. Once she hears those violins playing a merry tune, she's Riverdancing in here! She also loves it when we read to her, and she often kicks more when we stop (or when the music stops) as if to say "hey out there, keep it up, I'm bored in here!"
As far as her tastes.. she looooves fruit! Especially citrus fruit. It used to be I could eat an orange every now and again, I hated lemonade, and I could stand limeade only on certain whims (maybe a couple times a year). Now, it's oranges nearly every day, fresh lemonade and limeade cravings! Besides that, let's explore some very short-lived cravings that never had a chance in the wind: there was the few day long craving for elementary school cafeteria pizza (ugh!!) , that luckily, I never got my hands on. There's the understandable chocolate craving, easily remedied by some chocolate frozen yogurt. And here's the kicker, cereal before bed! I feel I have to have cereal before I can settle down to go to sleep - want to know where that came from? Well, Joe used to have the same penchant as a child. He HAD to have cereal before he could go to bed, and well wonders never cease, looks like Trinity takes that after her daddy. :)
We're both so excited with her progress, and we just can't wait to meet her. Every day I count my blessings to have a healthy baby on the way, and a loving husband who's just as eager to meet her as I am. We're so appreciative for all our friends and family who've given us advice, a pat on the back, and words of wisdom to carry us through what will be a trying, but rewarding time of our lives.

76 days and counting...
76 days away. Wow. It really isn't that far away. I feel so blessed and prepared but at the same time there is so much to do!
We finished our Bradley Birthing classes already and I think we both feel prepared in that aspect, but at the same time we need to be practicing our relaxation and stretches more. There's just never enough time in the day to get it all done.
We almost finished decorating Trinity's room. We are decorating using the "Disney Faries" theme, so we have a border featuring Tinkerbell. I painted the bottom of the room a certain shade of purple (I forget the name of the color) to match the border. I've replaced the lightswitch to match the theme, and bought a lamp and clock that also match the theme.
We put stick on Tinkerbell faries on the upper portions of the wall, and put her name in wooden letters, which were also painted to match, across the wall.
We're prepared with a crib, stroller, glider rocker for mommy, and many other things we've picked up and received as gifts thus far. I know we still have some time, but it just seems like there is SO much more to do!
Trinity is a very active baby, kicking and punching her mommy all times of the day. She loves listening to music, (I think we might have a musician in there) and she loves it when we read to her. Momma usually tries to read to her every night, and I will jump in there every once and a while for my turn.
We are meeting with the doula again next month, and will likely take a couple refresher Bradley classes next month as well.
I'm very excited, and can't wait to have that little baby girl in my arms!! :)

Welcome!
My name is Trinity. My dad is a total dweeb! I must be the youngest person in the world with a blog, cause I'm not even born yet!
