Well, this year we all celebrated our first Christmas as a real family. I can never thank God enough for this blessing.. we all woke up and sang our customary "Happy Birthday" song to Jesus, got some breakfast into Trinity, then dove into the pile of presents under the tree. Trinity didn't quite get the hang of unwrapping, she just tried to eat the paper. :) When it was all said and done, we just played with Trinity all day long and showed her how her new toys worked and had a wonderful time. Joe and I really tried to get her "learning" toys this year, which included a Leapfrog activity table, a Leapfrog phonics learning toy, one of those stuffed dogs that tells you the body parts, a Fisher Price "ball popper" - which she really just tries to eat the balls once they fall onto the floor, a Leapfrog ABC's learning drum, and a couple other things I can't remember. She got lots of stuffed animals, clothes, books, and toys from family and friends, and we're so incredibly grateful to everyone! Thank you! Trinity had an amazing day, and we took a million pictures!
As far as development, Trinity is content right now doing her own thing. She chases the cat more than ever (though much faster and often catches her), sometimes screaming with excitement as she does this. She's discovered that she loooves to be "nakie" and tries to squirm and get away everytime we try to change her diaper or dress her after a bath. Sometimes we let her play in just her diaper, and when we do, she's ALL smiles and squeals. It's hilarious! She's also pulling herself up into a standing position, especially around the couch and in her crib. She's still working on getting down, and HATES when she falls on her little rump! She's still saying "nana" to get my attention, and "dada", as well as kitty. We thought she maaay have said "more" last night when we were giving her dinner, we'll keep an ear out for that again.
Here's some pictures for everyone to enjoy!
