Mommy and Daddy must SURE love me!

Ok I know I went overboard, but I really didn't. I volunteered at a huge consignment sale to be able to shop first, and I got some GREAT deals on bigger toys for Trin! She's getting so active her little toys just don't do it anymore. How did she like the toys?? See for yourself! (Btw, I also got her a big kitchen playset but I didn't want to give her all the big stuff in one day, or else they'd get lost in the shuffle) Don't tell her that! I was able to get her a few small toys, the bigger toys, lots of clothes, hats, shoes, and a wagon full of blocks! Yay! Playtime!
Such a big girl!

Well I hate that it took a couple weeks, but here's a nice update on little Trin! Well, she's getting to be quite big, actually. At her 9 month well check, she weighed in at just under 20 pounds! She's doing just great! No teeth yet, very active, very vocal, and very interactive. She also studies and analyzes just about anything she can get her hands on - she's a very serious baby! We celebrated her 9 month with some balloons, which, as you can see, she LOVES! She's also starting to feed herself soft table foods, and she LOVES piggyback rides! Only she hates when you stop - that's when she gets upset.

No Thank You!

Well I think Trinity's finally starting to master the "hello" handwave (she used to just do it in front of the mirror to herself). Now she waves to daddy and I when we say hi to her. It's so adorable! I remember when she was first trying to get it down and she couldn't get the "wave" part, so she'd make a "peace" sign instead! LOL
She's also shaking her head no to us when she doesn't want something. It's so funny b/c we'll have her eating at her highchair, and we'll say "more?", and when she's full, she'll shake her head no. If we try to get her to eat more past that she'll keep shaking her head no, then begin slapping our hand away to get her point across.
Another couple things she loves to do, is pull her socks off, then chew on them! Cold feet don't bother her (bothers me however). Watch out, she'll also pull anyone else's socks off that she can get her hands on. She also loves playing "baby burrito" which entails her wrapping herself in her blanket then rolling around on the floor so she is, literally, a baby burrito.
Trinity is also, finally, feeding herself her little finger foods. We have spinach/kale puffs that we give her, and she LOVES them! We've finally gotten to the point where we can pour some on the table and she'll feed herself whenever she wants one. She still wants us to feed her her jarred foods (and I'm happy with that b/c she only plays with the spoon when we give it to her), but every now and then she'll reach for the spoon anyway. Don't do it! Big mistake!
Valentines Day was a nice first for Trinity, and daddy got her an adorable stuffed dog "Loveme" that she adores - here's a few pics!

Waiting for Spring..

Our little angel is 8 1/2 months old now, and her 1 year birthday is creeping up rather fast! Scarier is how fast she's growing up, and learning so much! Just last week, she stood up for the first time, all by herself, holding onto nothing! She just crawled up to me, raised into a squat position, and raised herself up like a ballerina in a deep plie' in #2 position. She stood up for a few seconds, then reached for me and just fell into my arms. I was so proud of her, but, it was a reminder how soon it will be before she's walking. She's quite the climber too! If Joe or I are sitting on the floor next to the couch, she'll climb up us and sit on the couch herself! LOL She cracks us up. Just this morning, she climbed out of her ultrasaucer while I was out of the room for a minute. When I came back in, she was standing on the Outside of the toy, smiling up at me like "mommy see what I can do now?" Her middle name should be Houdini, but, well, Grace has a nicer ring to it if you ask me. Here's a picture of the ultrasaucer below -
Trinity is quite the linguist, gabbering all day long. She holds conversations with Joe and I that are more like "bah bah bpssssh mmmmm" but I love every bit of it. She also tries to talk to our cat like this, but well, she doesn't speak baby.
Trinity still dances, only she dances to nearly every bit of music she hears now. If we're singing, she's dancing, if I have a cd on, she's bopping.. very funny is how riveted she is to the Gilmore Girls theme song! I don't know why, but everytime that show comes on, no matter what she's doing, she stops and is glued to the tv, making impressed happy noises and, of course, dancing. So adorable!
Joe and I haven't spotted any teeth coming in yet, thank goodness. I think all that calcium and milk did good, for her teeth that do come in should be good and strong! Thank goodness for good genes!
Well her 9 month well check is in a couple weeks and we'll post on her current weight and height when we get that. I'll also add some new pictures, enjoy!
